I like to keep life as simple and easy as possible, I am straightforward, not into drama, or in a race with the Jones'. At my core, I am an artist, environmentalist, and supporter of social justice issues. I embrace the ideals on the left side of the menu - not an evangelist, but these are my values. I would describe myself as an intuitive and insightful person, and as a creative thinker - I love learning new things, ideas, and conversation. I read a lot and take joy in the absurd.
At home, I have two dogs and a bird (all rescued). I do not have any children, but love spending time with kids. I find kids and animals amazing! I take my motorcycle on the road more often than the car. I am spontaneous when it comes to many things, but not with important decisions. At work I am most proud of the work I do to ensure fair and inclusive competition for jobs, especially reaching out to veterans and the physically challenged - but this is a small part of my responsibilities. I would like to find ways to do more. That said, I do enjoy my job and I have security, financial stability, and work/life balance.
Things I am excited about: traveling, live anything (theater, music, stand-up), movies, reading, urban exploring, evenings with friends, making connections, philosophy.
Things I am not excited about: shopping, moodiness, fast food, control freaks, profiles with no pics and/or little to no information about the person (I don't respond to those with empty profiles).
As for my religious beliefs: I am a spiritual person and occasionally attend Unitarian Universalist church. I am not Christian, and certainly would not consider myself a god-fearing person (or anything fearing, for that matter). I would like to find someone with similar beliefs, or not spiritual at all. While I appreciate that some people are devout and have strong religious beliefs, this relationship to religion is not a good fit for me. .

My Ideal Person:
I would love to find someone to be a friend, lover and companion for all the simple things a relationship provides - affection, play, sharing, support, cheerleading, consoling, and of course laughing. I am seeking someone to share life with - who brings out the best in me, and that I can bring out the best in him. I want to take the time to build great memories and eventually reminisce.
I don't have a particular physical type. My grandmother said that a man falls in love with the woman he is attracted to, a woman becomes attracted to the man she loves. In my experience, this is true. I do like men who laugh easily, are curious about the world, kind hearted, knows what makes them happy and finds time for these things. As you may have guessed, I am expressive, playful and engaged. I would love to find someone who also enjoys new ideas, trying new things, and can trust - as well as enjoys physical contact. What I don't care for are worriers, the easily frustrated by life, and those who are always seeing the worst in things.
